After the Golf Australia CONNECT update has been applied to your site, MiClub will perform extensive testing to check that system functions are working correctly. We also ask that each club performs the checks listed below to assist to ensure that there are no issues relating to MiClub system function.
Check 1: Member Directory for Valid Golf IDs
Navigate to the Member Directory and refer to the new GA Member UID column.
Using the filter arrow in the header cell, check for any members listed in the Directory that have a RED X in the GA Member UID column
A RED X indicates that the member is in the MiClub database BUT NOT listed in the Golf Australia CONNECT database and therefore won’t be eligible for competition handicapping.
To update a member from MiClub Golf to Golf Australia CONNECT, follow the steps below:
- Actions > Edit Member Details
- If the member has an existing Golf ID but the ID is missing from their profile > Set Golf ID
- If the member does not have an existing Golf ID > Create Golf ID
- If the member has an existing Golf ID that is already linked to their member profile and their membership status is active, please contact MiClub support
Check 2: Member Directory for member category playing status
Check that the playing status for non playing member categories has been set correctly. Navigate to Membership > Membership Categories
Edit > Playing Active Category should be unselected
Check 3. Advise MiClub of any required Temporary Courses
Navigate to the Courses menu in MiClub Golf and review all listed courses. By default 18-hole and 9-hole course setups should be listed.
System > Courses
If your club requires temporary course setups at the current time or in the near future, follow the instructions in the article below:
Course Changes & Temporary Course Creation
Check 4: Golf Australia CONNECT sign in from MiClub Golf
In MiClub Golf, navigate to the new Golf Australia > Golf Australia CONNECT Site menu
Click on the Golf Australia CONNECT site option and enter your Golf Australia login details. Save these in your browser to speed up the process for the future.
For help logging into Golf Australia CONNECT - please contact Golf Australia's help team.
Check 5: Competition Templates
Navigate to the Competition Templates screen via Competitions > Setup > Competition Templates
For each listed Competition Template select the ROUNDS option in the Template Action column and check that the COURSE and Tee Blocks are correctly selected for your template.
Note that Course Details setup in Competition Templates will be unlinked during the transition to Golf Australia CONNECT so it is important that all clubs re-apply these course details to all competition templates.
