MiScore App - Setting GPS Pin Locations

Modified on Thu, 29 Sep 2022 at 12:40 PM

Set daily pin locations by club admin. Club admin use MiScore App with special menu option 'Manage Courses'.

Note: Daily pin locations revert back to centre of green if not set daily. So if pins remain in same place on consecutive days, pin locations will need to be reset again.

Great service to club members and users especially for courses that have large greens. Can help pace of play.

Image Out-of-Date update process

If you find the google map of the course is out of date (due to recent course changes) then you can request for a map update via Goggle Earth.

This is further information from Google Maps regarding this request that a Club can process.

https://support.google.com/maps/thread/9094857?hl=en

You can request a Satellite Imagery update via Google Earth, which you can find here: https://earth.google.com/web/

Go to the menu (3 bars at top left hand side of screen), then click on  "Feedback".

Place the Map over the area you want updated, to get the screenshot, and make sure to use the text
I would like to recommend an imagery refresh” in the feedback window.

Please see this post which gives more information, specifically:-

Can I recommend an area for an imagery refresh?

We compile these requests to help us develop our imagery plans, as user interest is very important in determining which areas we want to refresh and how often.  Please keep in mind that the imagery collection and update processes can take several months to years and that these refreshes are done on a best effort basis. Also, factors such as imagery availability from our vendors as well as cloudy weather can delay imagery refreshes.  Many areas of the world are habitually cloudy, so we have to be patient with collection realities.
