Utility - Draw Formulator

The Draw Formulator will order or randomise players on a timesheet or create a seeded draw from qualifying scores into a new timesheet or the selected timesheet.

• Players can be ordered either Ascending or Descending by:
  • Age
  • Random (individuals selection)
  • Random Row (keeps group row allocations together) 
  • Name
  • Handicap
  • Score
  • GOLF Link number
• Tee times allocated by:
  • Time
  • Inverted U
  • Group
  • Bell Curve
  • Two Tee Start
  • Reverse Group
• Randomise by:
  • Cell
  • Row (NEW FEATURE Feb 2021)
• Create bookings to:
  • New Timesheet
  • This Timesheet
  • Timesheet within 7 days

Quick Process

1. Populate Timesheet with Bookings
2. Optional - Setup new timesheet with groups and tee times
3. Select Utilities > Draw Formulator
4. Select order of players
5. Select cut method
6. Select tee ordering
7. Select output
8. Execute

Step-by-Step Process

1. Enter timesheet with players booked or with competition associated for the Draw

2. Optional - setup new timesheet with groups and tee times for the draw to populate if not a clone of the current timesheet.

Remember to have enough groups and rows to export names into

3. Select Utilities > Draw Formulator

4. Select Player Ordering required and if Ascending or Descending:

• Age - Order the players based on age, either in ascending or descending order
• Surname - Order the players based on surname, either in ascending or descending order
• Handicap - Order the players based on handicap, either in ascending or descending order
• Random - Randomise all the booked players into random cells
• Random Row - Randomise the booked rows into random rows (ideal for use with Ballot sheets) 
• Score - Order the players based on competition result in ascending or descending order
• GOLFLink number - Order the players based on Golflink Number, either in ascending or descending order
• As Is - Leave the current player ordering as is (in ascending or descending order)
• Results - Based on the scores returned for players registered in the competition associated with the timesheet

5. Select cut method

• None
• Field Size - normally used with handicap or age to restrict field size
• Nett Score - Eliminate players from draw above the nett score
• Gross Score - Eliminate players from draw above the gross score
• Nett Score From Leader - Eliminate players greater than xx number of shots above the best competition Nett Score
• Gross Score From Leader - Eliminate players greater than xx number of shots above the best competition  Gross Score

6. Select Tee Ordering

• Time - In order of the tee times on timesheet
• Inverted U - Good Scores are in first rows and populate upwards, Worst Scores on first rows on 10th tee and populate downwards
• Group - Maintain the group
• Bell Curve - Good scores are in middle of field
• Match Play
• Two Tee Start - eg. 1st Tee 7.00am, 10th Tee 7.00am, 1st Tee 7.07am, 10th Tee 7.07am etc
• Reverse Group - Reverses the order of the group ie First to Last, Last to First

7 & 8. Output to and Execute

• This Timesheet
• New Timesheet (Clone)
• Event within 7 days of timesheet
