Matchplay - Setup Registration for a Matchplay Event - Stage 2 (Admin)

Quick Process

1. Navigate to the MANAGE PLAYERS area of the Matchplay Event (if you're continuing from the Matchplay - Create Event manual then it will automatically take you there from saving the event)

2. Enter the registration OPEN and CLOSE dates

3. Select and setup the registration list

Step-by-Step Process

1. Navigate to the MANAGE PLAYERS area of the Matchplay Event (if you're continuing from the Matchplay - Create Event manual then it will automatically take you there from saving the event)

2. Enter the registration OPEN and CLOSE dates

Note: these dates must be prior to the first round date

3. Select and setup the registration list

*Note: there's two tick boxes at the bottom which should be considered, APPLY FEE and AUTOMATICALLY CREATE DRAW WHEN REGISTRATIONS CLOSE

APPLY FEE: the fees will need to be setup under MANAGE FEE> MEMBERS FEES 

*Create New Registration Page is a manual method of players being added (either via admin or they could also register themselves because this option will create a registration sheet on the fixtures page)

*Create From Competition Results is where you search and import a previous competitions results for the registration (players from that competition will be registered in the Matchplay event) 

*Import From File is the ability to import players using a csv file/list from your PC

*Create From Timesheet is similar to the competition method where you import players onto the registration list using a previous timesheet in which the player were booked 

Once a method is chosen, and a list of registered players is created, you can close registrations (move to next stage - the Draw setup). There's also the ability to clear registrations or add additional players if not all places are filled.

CLOSE REGISTRATIONS - Then confirm the close (note: the Optimise button will optimise the selection for the list e.g. if there only ends up being 12 players but you had the setup for 16 players then the system will compact the draw sheet down for 12 players, this will means there will be less byes etc) 

The next stage of this Matchplay event is to setup the draw. Note: once registrations close the draw may automatically be generated. (if this was selected while choosing a registration method - see point 3 above)
