This article shows how to use the Nearest to Pin feature in the MiScore App
It's incredibly easy to record your good shot for Nearest the Pin and other novelty prizes in MiScore App. No more searching for pencil and adding your name to the NearPin marker.
Press the 'NTP' Icon to:
- Add your shot and approximate distance or
- Add a playing partners shot and approximate distance or
- Just see who in the field is winning the prize and been close
Only need one player in the group to be using MiScore App to add a name from the group to NearPin
Names are automatically sent to the prize results with a history of the player's name and distance.
Just remember you may need to place the club's marker on the ground to indicate the exact spot of your shot as measurements in MiScore App are only approximate.
MiScore App 2 (available from Tuesday 7 April)
Visual Guide:
- Select 'settings' at the bottom right corner, then select 'NearPin'
- Add an entry to view the players in your group
- The player who is closest to the pin will be indicated by the yellow crown icon (at the top of the page).
- Select the respective player and press 'Add Entry' to confirm and submit
If you accidentally enter your name or an incorrect distance, go back into the NTP screen and hard press to delete.

Visual Guide:
- Select flashing 'NTP' icon
- View Distance. Select 'Add Self', 'Add Partner' or select the nearest to the pin that is indicated on screen
- Add distance and confirm
- Your name as NearPin at that time
