When SMS is enabled and account is established with SMS Global, text messages can be sent to members by:

  • Automatic
    • When member moves from Wait List to Timesheet after another booking is deleted
    • Golf Professional text alert if using Lesson Diary and booking made within 24 hours of booked time
  • Manual
    • To selected bookings in a timesheet
    • To a member through the member directory
    • To groups or lists in SMS Global interface


FAQ

  • Messages aren't being received
    • Ensure credit balance is topped-up especially when sending out bulk SMS from timesheets
    • Check Accept SMS is enabled  for particular member in contact details -> Telephone
  • How do I check on SMS that have been sent
    • System --> Audit Log details history on all sms messages sent




Quick Process

1. Selected bookings in a timesheet

  • Select players in timesheet
  • Select Utilities --> SMS Bookings
  • Enter Message details
  • Select 'Send SMS'


2. To a member through the member directory

  • Member Directory
  • Search for Member
  • Select Contact Details Icon --> Send SMS
  • Update SMS Message --> Send SMS


3. Export Name and Mobile from Directory or Membership System

  • Import into Global SMS 
    • Member Directory --> Utilities --> Member/Handicap Export
    • Change parameters, select Contact Details, Export to Spreadsheet
