- Restart PC
- Restart Printer
- Check Cables & Printer
- Power cable connected to Printer
- Power turned on - hold button on right of printer
- Network Cable connected to printer and port or USB cable connected between printer and computer
- Print software running - Blue P icon in bottom right corner next to date/time
- OKI B721 (PCL) is set as default
- Windows 10 - Don't allow Windows to manage default printers
- For network connected
- Open Settings --> Devices --> Printers & scanners
- Check OKI-B721 (PCL) installed if any other OKI B721 contact support
- Ensure Let Windows manage my default printer is unticked
- Select Printer --> Manage
- Ensure Printer Status is Default
- Select Printer Properties
- Select Ports Tab
- Select Printer OKI-B72(PCL)1 in list
- Ensure port is Standard TCP/IP Port not WSD Port
- Select Configure Port
- Take note of Printer Name or IP address ie 192.168.1.101
- Open new tab on Google Chrome
- Type in IP address into address bar
- If connects to OKI status page network connection is GOOD
- If cannot connect:
- on Printer select Network???
- Network Settings???
- IP Address???
- Take note of IP Address if number is different to the address from PC
- If different edit the IP Address in the computer settings and Save
- Wait a few minutes then print a card
- Send this to club management to have the IP address set as static not dynamic
- Can you please have our IT contractors set a static IP address for the OKI B721 (PCL) scorecard printer. It is essential that the IP address by static so that printer doesn't lose connection when network is restarted. Please also ensure that printer is connected to PC with an IP address not a WSD port. This morning we were unable to print score cards as the ip address had been reallocated possibly after network reboot.
- Select Print Preferences
- Size: A5
- Source: Tray 1
- Weight: Ultra Heavy 2
- Select Paper Feed Options
- Untick all options and OK
- 2-Sided Printing Options: None
- OK
- For USB Connected
- Open Settings --> Devices --> Printers & scanners
- Check OKI-B721 (PCL) installed if any other OKI B721 contact support
- Ensure not Offline
- Ensure Let Windows manage my default printer is unticked
- If Offline check USB cable and restart PC
- Check Toner Level
- Two cards come through printer one printed and one blank - Adjust custom card settings
- Check service level
